This will provide avenue for local producers to showcase their alternative protein product offering or for local startups to launch into the growing alternative protein space. This platform will open up the floodgate for food innovations and link up partnerships to succeed.

The Covid pandemic has inevitably shifted our mindset and behaviors, not only does it change our social attitudes but also the choices we make about our food. It has certainly altered and distorted the entire food ecosystem and eventually shone a light on the fragilities of our food supply chains.
With the COVID pandemic lock-down and movement restrictions in the past few months, most of our time was spent staying at home with limited external activities. With the restrictions in mobility and daily activities – hopefully, this uncertainty will give a greater awareness of and appreciation for food and how it is produced.
This difficult time offers the opportunity to radically change how food is produced and consumed. It came down to one solid conclusion, which is a new way to eat is imperative. We need to innovate what we eat, and how we produce food responsibly - to not only improve food security and reduce our environmental impact but also to build a well-nourished society.

While we realize that current restrictions and practices of SOPs are in place in Kuala Lumpur where we hold this premier event, we are moving forward under the assumption that much can change over the months ahead with business sectors are slowing in operational. If restrictions do not change and we are unable to hold the MarketPlace due to COVID, 12-13 March 2022 will be set as the alternate dates. All exhibitors and partners will be notified. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this unprecedented and difficult time.
